The interviewer: Blockchain & Bitcoin Conference Moscow (BBCM)
The respondent: Natalia Van (N.V.)
BBCM: What services does CS Global Partners provide? What are its main advantages?
N.V.: CS Global Partners provides full legal support in obtaining a second citizenship or residence permit by investment all over the world.
We are government representatives for a number of Caribbean countries including Saint Kitts and Nevis and Dominica.
Our team consists of dedicated professionals and lawyers with many years of experience in the immigration industry. We help investors choose the country of second citizenship that offers the best conditions for them, based on their needs and desires.
BBCM: The company cooperates with governments in promoting citizenship by investment programs. What countries are those?
N.V.: CS Global Partners is authorized by three governments to represent and promote their citizenship by investment programs.
Shortly after its founding, CS Global Partners was selected by the government of Saint Kitts and Nevis as the marketing representative for its citizenship by investment program.
In 2014, the government of Dominica also appointed CS Global Partners as the official marketing representative of its citizenship by investment program worldwide.
In 2016, the government of Saint Lucia launched its citizenship by investment program and selected CS Global Partners to promote its program in East Asia.
BBCM: In which countries can clients of CS Global Partners receive a second citizenship or residence permit by investment?
N.V.: In addition to the Caribbean countries listed above – Dominica, Saint Kitts and Nevis and Saint Lucia, we are authorized agents and experts for the programs of Grenada, Antigua and Barbuda. We also provide services for obtaining a residence permit for investment in a number of countries, including Portugal, Greece and Singapore.
BBCM: How can clients participate in programs for obtaining a second citizenship by investment?
N.V.: Participation in citizenship by investment programs in the Caribbean generally involves two main investment options: a non-refundable donation to a government fund or the purchase of pre-approved real estate.
Government funds are used to develop priority sectors such as education, health, climate resilience, infrastructure development, tourism and culture, and the promotion of indigenous entrepreneurship.
By purchasing real estate under the citizenship by investment program, the investor gets the opportunity to sell his property in 3-7 years, depending on the chosen jurisdiction, and return the invested funds.
BBCM: The programs of which countries are most in demand right now? Why?
N.V.: Among our clients, the most popular citizenship by investment programs are Saint Kitts and Nevis and Dominica. These are two programs with the longest history, the first has existed since 1984, the second since 1993. Moreover, thanks to the simplicity of the application process, rigorous security screening and the global mobility that successful applicants receive, these programs have been leading the CBI Index for four years, which is the most respected rating of all existing citizenship by investment programs in the world published by PWM magazine by the Financial Times.
At the moment, there is a temporary offer of Saint Kitts and Nevis, which is valid until December 31, 2021 that provides an option of a donation to the Sustainable Growth Fund in the amount of $150,000 and allows to obtain citizenship for a family of up to 4 people (except for brothers and sisters). This results in family applicants saving $45,000.
BBCM: How has the COVID-19 pandemic affected the citizenship by investment practice?
N.V.: The pandemic has increased interest in citizenship by investment programs. This happened due to the closure of the borders of many countries and the inability to conduct business, develop business relations in the format that took place before the pandemic.
I must say that the impact of the pandemic did not affect the speed and quality of the process of filing and processing documents. Moreover, at the beginning of the pandemic, Dominica, Saint Kitts and Nevis introduced an electronic document management system that allows you to apply and receive approval remotely. To obtain official approval, physical documents must be sent to the government.
BBCM: What are the main advantages of immigration by investment?
N.V.: The main advantages of investment immigration, undoubtedly, can be attributed to global mobility: the Caribbean provides an opportunity for visa-free entry or visa upon arrival in more than 140 countries, access to important business centers of the world, access to new economic markets, opportunities for expansion and development business.
Also, with dual citizenship, our clients get access to the best healthcare and education systems. Since many countries are experiencing social unrest and economic conflicts, having dual citizenship makes it possible to live in a more politically stable country. Therefore, another benefit is improved personal and professional security.
BBCM: What aspects would you recommend to pay attention to when choosing a country for immigration by investment?
N.V.: Since obtaining dual citizenship is in many ways a fateful decision, when choosing an investment program, we suggest to start from the goals and objectives of the client, their current financial situation and family they want to include in the application.
Visa-free travel, business opportunities, the possibility of living or moving to the country of citizenship – all programs provide different conditions.
BBCM: CS Global Partners will become not only a Gold Sponsor of Blockchain & Bitcoin Conference Moscow 2021, but also an exhibitor of the demo zone. Who could benefit from visiting the company's stand?
N.V.: Our stand will be interesting to everyone who wants to secure their future and the future of their family by creating a ‘Plan B’, those who wants to gain freedom of movement, becoming a citizen of the world, get new business opportunities and enter new markets.
As well as partners who work with wealthy clients – lawyers, bankers, family offices, tax consultants and investment companies. We really love to be friends and develop business partnerships.
Today, more and more people can afford to invest in a second citizenship. Our clients are not only business professionals and investors, but also doctors, IT specialists, journalists, bankers, lawyers and many others.
